Dress Code

ON THE COURSE

Shirts

Gentlemen’s shirts must have sleeves and a collar. They must be tucked into the waistband of trousers or shorts.

Ladies’ shirts without sleeves must have collars. Ladies’ shirts may be worn loose if so designed.

Shorts and Trousers

Gentlemen may wear trousers or tailored shorts, provided the shorts are worn with either knee-length socks or predominantly white short socks which must be clearly visible above the golf shoe. Cargo-style shorts or trousers with patch pockets are not permitted.

Footwear

Proper golfing footwear must be worn. Trainers are not permitted, except for Juniors.

Headwear

If caps or hats with peaks are worn, the peak must face forward.

IN AND AROUND THE CLUBHOUSE

Dining Room

For Gentlemen, a jacket and neckwear must be worn in the dining room after 6.30 pm. Shorts may not be worn in the Dining Room after 6.30pm. Golf shoes are not permitted in the Dining Room at any time.

For some informal social events, a ‘relaxed’ dress code may be introduced allowing for tailored shirts to be worn outside of trousers.

Shorts

Smart tailored shorts may be worn in all areas of the clubhouse and until 6.30pm in the Dining Room. Cargo‑style shorts or trousers with patch pockets are not permitted.

Footwear

Golf shoes, including pimple style or hybrid golf shoes, may not be worn in the Main Bar, Sun Lounge or Dining Room at any time of day, but they may be worn in the Spike Bar.

Closed sandals and deck shoes may be worn, with or without socks, in all areas of the clubhouse and patio, except in the Dining Room where they may only be worn with socks.

Shoes may only be changed in the changing rooms and must not be changed in the car park.

Headwear

No headwear is permitted in either of the bars, Sun Lounge or Dining Room areas.

All clothing must be clean and smart. Blue Denim, rugby shirts, track suits, vests, non-tailored trousers and non-tailored shorts are never permitted either on the golf course or in or around the clubhouse.
